S'mores Funnel Cake

Ingredients
1 package Drizzles Traditional Funnel Cake batter
2 graham crackers – crushed for the batter
*Oil for frying depends on your skillet size and the type of oil.
1/4 cup confectioners sugar for dusting
8 oz hot fudge – warm
8 oz marshmallow creme – warm & melted
1 cup mini marshmallows
2 tbsp mini chocolate chips
2 graham crackers – crushed for topping

Instructions

Pour 1 package Drizzels Traditional Funnel Cake batter into a large bowl.

Add in eggs, milk - whisk until fully combined and there are very little lumps.

Whisk in crushed graham crackers

In a 8-9" skillet add about 1/2 inch oil & heat to 350 degrees – watch closely!

Transfer batter into a funnel bottle or funnel.

Once the oil has reached frying temperature, pour batter into a zig zag pattern and try to keep it somewhat circular.

Allow to fry thirty to sixty seconds or until golden brown – flip & cook the other side the same.

Once both sides are done cooking use tongs to remove & place immediately on a wire rack or paper plate to drain off the oil.

Continue with the remaining batter.

Once complete, dust each cake with confectioners sugar, top with hot fudge, marshmallow cream, chocolate chips, marshmallows & more graham crackers. Yum!

Caramel Apple Funnel Cake

Ingredients
1 package Drizzles Cinnamon Funnel Cake batter
Vegetable oil for frying
2 tablespoons butter, salted or unsalted
2 small-medium Granny Smith apples, cored and diced, approximately 2 cups
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups milk
2 large eggs
Vanilla ice cream
Caramel sauce

Ingredients for caramel sauce
5/8 cup white sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Or buy a caramel sauce of your choice

Instructions

To make the caramel sauce: Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk constantly until the sugar has dissolved. Raise to medium-high heat and cook until it reaches a medium to dark amber color, shaking and/or swirling the pan often to ensure even cooking. Remove from heat and slowly pour in the cream. Stir until combined.

If there are any clumps, return to medium heat and stir until they have dissolved, then remove from heat. Set aside.

In a medium sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the apples, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg and sauté for three to five minutes or until softened.

Transfer to the bowl and smash until crumbled.

Preheat a deep fryer or oil at least two inches deep in a heavy-bottomed frying pan or skillet to 350 degrees.

Pour the Drizzles Cinnamon Funnel Cake Batter In a large bowl.

Add the milk and eggs, whisk together until fully combined and smooth.

Using a liquid measuring cup, kitchen funnel, or piping bag with a large round tip, drizzle 1/2 cup of batter into the oil in swirling and crisis-crossing motions. Fry for one minute, then flip using tongs, and fry another one minute until golden brown. Remove from oil, drain on wire rack or paper plate. Repeat with remaining batter.

To serve: Top with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, apple topping, and drizzle with caramel sauce. Yum!
